2:30 p.m. – The weekend has gone well so far. My kidneys are something they watch pretty close around here as they have fluctuated pretty drastically over some of these chemo treatments in the past. However, outside of an initial spike early on Friday, my kidney function has stayed normal. I’ve even managed to keep off a lot of the fluid my body tends to take on during these stints, which has helped me clear a lot of the chemo a little faster. I’m still on track to be out early on Tuesday. My hemoglobin has dropped enough for them to give me blood today, so that will also be a little boost. Praying for some of that “young blood.” Thank YOU for your prayers!

2:00 p.m. – I woke up this morning to having put on seven pounds of fluid from yesterday. That is officially the most I have put on in one day. I feel ok otherwise, and was able to be given a pee shot to help me shed some of the excess fluid, but it is always off-putting to put on that much weight in one day…especially fluids. Other than that, my vitals are strong, and I am on track to check out tomorrow morning.
